Since now almost two years I’m an happy user of what’s I think one of the most underrated DAW on the market that proposes for a few $ per year one of the most complete DAW. For me, as « Bed Room » producer, I share my creations between Studio One and Logic Pro.
Recently I committed an article here telling you about my perplexity to make a unique choice between my two preferred DAWs. Since 2009, Presonus release almost 2 major version of their DAW per year. In terms of licensing, while Apple’s Logic Pro is an one shot paid SW (about $200) and, since I use it (about 4 years to date) the SW receive regular updates, the last one major version 11 in January 24, this without any additional fee to pay. On the other side, the Presonus model is presented with multiple options, from an one shot paid version but also a per subscription model. I have to admit that since a while I found the Presonus licensing model a bit complicated. From October 9, 2024, this will change. Look at the bellow short resume and, if you are interested, look at Presonus web site for all the details.

- PreSonus to release Studio One Pro 7 on October 9, 2024
