Who I Am

My name is Florian Rod, I live in Switzerland. My artist known aka is FLOWZIK.

I started playing the guitar at the age of 13 and joined various local and  later european  bands. 

You can listen to some of the recorded material of that time here and also follow me under FLOWZIK on most of the musical platform.

I was rather busy and active on the music scene until I met my wife and started working for a big IT company in my early thirties. It was a big turning point in my life, as i stopped producing for a quite a while. 

Nevertheless I kept playing my instruments such as:

• Fender Stratocaster Mexico (1998)
• Gibson ES335 (1987)
• Roland Synth Guitar
• Levin Classical (1980)
• Hofner Jazz (very old!)
• An incredible Sarod Indian instrument my uncle offer me years ago

I am a fan of Mac computers and I acquired Logic Pro the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) made by Apple. It was like reconnecting with my musical past but with a million% more power and possibilities to produce new material and so I have started to compose music again! I also use another excellent DAW made by Presonus named Studio One.
